Voith Apprentice Team Reaches Second Place in "ZusamMEnspiel 2014" Contest of "AusbildungsOffensive-Bayern"
Eva Heit, Martin Stanic and Adrian Rasthofer, three third-year Voith apprentices from Voith Turbo in Garching, joined forces with a team of pupils from the Munich Secondary School at Situlistraße to participate in the campaign "ZusamMEnspiel 2014“ of the Bavarian training initiative "AusbildungsOffensive-Bayern."

Based on future career choices, the teams were faced with the following task at the creative competition: "Build a kicker table to depict the World Cup."
The starter item for each team was a fully functioning table footballer made from cardboard. This footballer had to be individually kitted out and designed on the basis of a specific apprenticeship. There were no limits to the creative approach, be it regarding the design or the applied materials.
As a tribute to the Football World Cup, the shortlisted teams were invited to the Allianz-Arena, where they had the unique opportunity to showcase their innovative kicker table in an environment that could not be more fitting. Our Voith apprentice team was also invited to the final and presented its self-made kicker table to a broad audience.
The best contributions were awarded prizes on the spot by Bertram Brossardt, Senior Vice President of the Bavarian Employers' Association of the Metal and Electric Industry.
Congratulations to our Voith apprentice team who came in second place in the category "Metal."
In order to get this project on the road, our apprentices and pupils were actively supported by Tino Niendorf, Ronald Gruber and Manfred Traichel.
Over the next few weeks, the award-winning kicker table can be viewed at different locations at our Voith plant in Garching.
