Since the meeting always takes place at one of the 18 companies of the support organization, it was Voith who invited the participants to Heidenheim for two days this time.
After a guided tour through the Training Center and a presentation with a review of the past semester, the students of the various bonding locations were able to swap experiences with the members of the support group in a number of workshops and discussion rounds. Alongside Voith, the support organization also includes other major Germany companies such as Bosch, Audi, Daimler, Thyssen Krupp, Henkel, DB German Railways, ABB, Brose, Continental, Infineon, P3 Group, Rohde & Schwarz, TÜV, Airbus, Mars, Unilever and Volkswagen. Apart from the last four, each of these companies was once again represented at the meeting.
The bonding support organizations meetings with their workshops and discussion rounds are primarily intended to provide educational idealistic support of the student initiative bonding, set impulses and develop them further. Among the issues to be discussed were, for example, questions such as: How do the companies see the target Group? And how do the companies view the bondings? What works well and where is room for improvement?
The discussions about these questions help the student initiative bonding to take their daily work a step further, which, in turn, is to the benefit of the students at the respective universities of bonding. The major goal of bonding is, after all, to build bridges between students and companies. It is meant to provide an opportunity for the students to establish contacts with companies while they are still at university and gain an insight into future working life.
Voith has been a member of the bonding support organization only since January 2014. This is why we are particularly proud to be able welcome the other support group companies and bonding students at our premises just half a year later.
All in all, the professional exchange of information and experiences was once again highly productive and a true success.
