Globally we focus our support on the areas of education and training, science and research, and social issues. Since we entered the Chinese market in 1994, we have been dedicated to promoting and supporting the development of sports and culture in the regions where we operate. Our goal is to create an attractive living environment for our employees and their families.
“Nurture the Future” book donation campaign in China
In 2022, Voith China initiated a corporate social responsibility project called "Nurture the Future" book donation campaign with the support of the Hanns Voith Foundation.
The campaign successfully donated over 1,100 books to an elementary school located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. The Voith China employees played a significant role in making this campaign successful by contributing to the book donations.
Voith China employees, accompanied by their children, generously donated hundreds of books and expressed their heartfelt wishes and blessings to the students from afar. For instance, one of the employees' children created a beautiful calligraphy piece for their same-aged friends who are thousands of miles away. Voith employees from different cities also wrote greeting cards to encourage and offer good wishes to the students. Furthermore, the children of Voith employees prepared drawings that were compiled in an album and sent to the school to share their visions of a better future.
Caring for Children with Autism
In 2023, Voith China collaborated with the Ed-Ability Center for Child Development and the Shanghai Pudong New Area ZhongBang Public Service Center to launch a series of initiatives aimed at providing care for children with autism.
As part of this collaboration with a non-profit organization, Voith created silk scarf literary gift boxes adorned with paintings created by a child diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, who is also the child of a Voith employee. These gift boxes were designed to inspire and encourage children with autism to explore and develop their strengths and potential, while also raising awareness and encouraging more individuals and organizations to get involved in supporting this cause.
Furthermore, Voith plans to organize sharing and communication activities for children with autism. Voith volunteers will share their own experiences in social work to help broaden the children's horizons and help them better adapt to society.
